Subscript & Superscript Behaviours
Has anyone noticed that the behavior of subscript and superscript are reversed in the editor. This has been happening since very beginning I feel. Even the icons are wrong and so are the icon click action and so the tooltips.

Is it actually a problem? or it is just me?

It's just you, my sub/sup icons do what they say they'll do, and the tooltips are correct (not inverted like yours).

The Monstre theme has this issue.... Reverted to default theme...Solved after switvching to default theme and Thank You all.

Icon names are right.. I checked in resource folder.



It seems some mess-up in some config file that points to that icon.Wonder how to resolve that.

I think Themes make a copy and place them in the Configuration folder's Resources (much of Calibre uses things there if found first)

couldn't find it... Monstre is such a beautiful theme, wish the developer had resolved the issue ... Now switched to default.

AFAICT the icon theme in use is stored in the configuration folder in a file called "icons-any.rcc", which is a Qt resource control file.

In case anyone else wants a "quick and dirty fix" for this, here are the Monstre icons correctly named. To install them:
  1. Get the icons from the zip file
  2. Put them in the folder "resources/images" contained in your calibre configuration folder (get there via calibre / Preferences / Miscellaneous / Open calibre configuration folder).
Putting an icon in resources/images overrides an icon found in an icon pack or the default calibre theme. If you change from Monstre then you should remove or rename these files.

What resources folder? Icon files from themes aren't put in any folder.

The following shows that the replacement works.

The priority when loading an icon is:
  1. [user configuration folder]/resources/images
  2. [user configuration folder]/icons-[('any', 'light', 'dark')].rcc
  3. [calibre installation folder]/resources/images
