{id} Custom column - minor sorting issue

Hi,

I just added a custom column (built from other columns, template={id}) to display in my book list, and noticed that when I sort on it, the sort function doesn't seem to use all the digits for numbers below 10,000 (so, for example, '101' appears between '10099' and ''10101'). Just thought it worth noting in case it is an easy fix for a future version!

Also, thank you so much for this wonderful software package! It has genuinely been very life-enhancing for me to be able to order and search my collection in this way!

Best wishes,
James

Almost certainly you didn't set the "Sort/search column by" option to "Number".

Preferences->Behavior->Recognize numbers inside text when sorting

although if you want to show the id value in a column there is a builtin column for it you just need to unhide it.

You must make a composite column with "Show in tag browser" checked if you want to be able to drag&drop the identifier onto a tag browser user category.

Brilliant, thank you! That worked! And of course I should have known that it would turn out to be my own error....
