Weird metadata
I have saved my Calibre folder on my computer then sync it through my OneDrive to my Android phone. I have all my authors, series, etc all set up like I like it in Calibre. I have 'edited' my books. I have opened the files on my android and my laptop both. Everything looks like it should. Until I open the file in Moon+ Reader. Then somehow, data that's not part of my book or opf file, is there, or wrong, for instance, author's out of order, tags missing or tags that are not in my calibre library or the epub file or the opf file. I've uninstalled and reinstalled moon+ reader and no matter what I do, it still appears. I am assuming that somehow it's getting this data from Calibre because I don't see a way for random tags to appear in the book that are old information. Any ideas?

Second question is if you are saving to disk before copying to OneDrive or are you simply copying your calibre library into OneDrive. Next question is if you are referring to the .opf file in the epub when you state opf file or the metadata.opf file in the calibre library. If you are referring to the metadata.opf, you need to realize that file is a calibre file and does not have all that much to do with the .opf file in the ePub. When you open the ePub file in calibre's ebook-editor and look at the ePub's .opf file, what information do you see in there? I think that it is very likely that you have information in your ePub's .opf file that Moon+ Reader is reading since by default, calibre does not modify the ePub file in the library. OTOH, my experience with Moon+ free version is that it is a poor ePub reader which by default disregards the CSS in an ePub. |

You need to POLISH or Embed the Calibre metadata INTO the book.
Calibre normally does this just to the COPY when it Sends via USB or mail. You are bypassing this by copying the LIBRARY to a place that the device fetches books from. |
