Author sort tweak on adding

Hi,

I have the tweak author_sort_copy_method set to 'copy' which should copy author to author_sort without modification.

Now I noticed that upon adding some books from Standard Ebooks, I'm getting the author_sort set as LN, FN. So I need to select the books and correct that by running the Bulk Metadata edit function "Automatically set author sort".

Is this how it has always worked, or am I missing something? I think the 'copy' tweak used to work for newly added books, but I'm not sure.

Copy does whatever is in Authors in the books original metadata .
FWIW I use Quality Check Plugin: FIX: Swap Author... to flip whatever is in Authors (the sort follows the rule)

Well, I took a look at this one, for example:

It has

<dc:creator id="author">John Dewey</dc:creator>

So shouldn't 'copy' use that to fill in the author_sort?

On the other hand I see an extra property, perhaps Calibre is using this value to populate author_sort:

<meta property="file-as" refines="#author">Dewey, John</meta>

File as. I believe that is what Calibre uses:

That should be what you saw in the Authors column, thus what copy did
