Dictionary Showing No Results

Recently, I've noticed that my Kindle Scribe dictionary isn't finding definitions for any words. I looked over the forums a bit and didn't see anyone reporting this recently, but maybe someone can help me out.

This is a Scribe with three different dictionaries installed and I have tested them all. They were previously showing definitions, but now they are not.

I checked the language tag for my books in calibre and they are tagged English.

I'm connected to wifi (I read somewhere that the dictionary needs internet access?).

Any help with this is appreciated. Thanks.

Dictionary does not need internet access.

I would do a Restart to see if that fixes it.

Also check to see if it is indexing content: from Home or Library, search for '.' (period) and then see if Text in Books category is enabled in search results. If it is, tap and it will show you number of items still being indexed, and tapping on that will display a list of the items it is still working on. The dictionary will not function for any item that is not yet indexed.

In some cases, a download or side-loaded item is corrupt and indexing will get stuck on it. Removing the item will allow indexing to complete and then dictionary lookups should again work.

Note that content usually gets indexed after any firmware update is installed.

After some more investigation, it looks like they sent a new edition/version of the Oxford dictionary to my library and I no longer see the old ones I have been using. Is that how it works? It looks like this new version is functional but they have possibly revoked the old ones, including one I paid for... a learner's (not one of the free ones they give you). I'm looking through my digital content and only see the one they added recently.
