WLAN-Sled for Treo 650 by end of April
Enfora revealed at CeBIT that the company is planning to release its WiFi-Sled WLN1501 for PalmOne's Treo 6xx series to the market by the end of April/beginning of May (previously target date was February). The sled, which also includes WLAN drivers for the Treo, will be available for around USD $150. From the official description: Quote:

I wonder if one could use the Wi-Fi to make VOIP calls, and the BT to connect to the wireless headset...
Almost makes it seem like a reasonable purchase. I've been conflicted about the Treo, because convergence devices make no sense to me (screen too small, battery life,...) but I do like that the phone has the keyboard and runs Palm OS. If I had a ton of money, I might keep my Zodiac2 as the PDA and use the Treo 650 as the phone with the Wi-Fi sled for the connectivity. (Maybe even truly geek out and BT the two to share the Wi-Fi connection to the Zodiac2?) Or I just come back to Earth. POL9A |
