"failed to contact running instance"

I've been seeing this error for a while now, through more than one update. Calibre continues to work without any visible problems, but - what is going on, and how can I fix it, if I can fix it on my end?

Its a harmless error just ignore it, it means that there was another instance of calibre running but that it either quit by the time calibre tried to contact it or it was a leftover socket from a previous instance.
