android app
Please make an android version.
I am not a fan of kindle, nor google books. The only android version I've seen is a costly calibre companion app. Which is clearly not made by calibre. I'm really a fan of how effortlessly calibre syncs books and whole libraries between pc's. It's cumbersome taking my laptop into the bedroom just to read. When I have a good tablet that unfortunately I can't get calibre on.... hopefully soon. I'd be eager and willing to beta test an android version. Thank you |

You can use the calibre content server from your tablet.

Take a look at calibre sync. Low cost, very actively developed and supported.

See :
How do I use calibre with my Android phone/tablet Calibre Sync for Android Disclosure: I don't use either. I copy books onto my phone as needed, and delete them when they're not needed. BR Last edited by BetterRed; 12-27-2023 at 05:25 AM. |

Use Calibre and USB cable to transfer a large number of ebooks to the Android device.
No need to read on laptop ever. I only use the Calibre viewer to check links & TOC of a newly converted ebook from wordprocessor. |
