Can't open Calibre after update
Hi!

I use the portable version of Caliber. After updating to version 7.1, I can't open the application. When I click on the icon, nothing happens. The splash screen does not appear.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Download a fresh installer, and run that and see if that helps.

A bit more info on what host equipment and OS you are trying to run this on might help

It works on a fresh installation. I'm using Windows 10. Could it be some plugin causing this error? How can I check this?

What icon, afaik the portable installer doesn't create any shortcut icons. I just run the calibre-portable.exe from the install location, viz:

It's no wonder you cannot run calibre. You are running some program called caliber instead.

It's not caliber. It's calibre. I say this because if anyone is searching they won't find your post.

I just tried a fresh portable install (flash drive).
Copied a small library to the calibre portable folder
Created a shortcut on the desktop to calibre-portable.exe
clicked that, up it came.
I then switched to the Library I copied
Exited
Clicked the desktop icon
Presto, that Library showed just fine.

W10 x64 22H2

Recreate the shortcut is my only idea
