I MC solo 6 lite vs MT8110

I've able to find information for the imx SOC but nothing about mt8110. Does any body have any info on the mediatek chip in the Kindle pw5?
Also, why is ko reader slower on the latest Kindle compared to Kindle( on imx Solo 6 lite 1ghz with its paltry 128kb cache and slow 256MB memory) despite being on more modern SOC?
May be sure to compiler targeting old ARM? Not using specific enhancements for Mediatek SOC? I am only guessing.
All I've been able to find was this press release

Is this because Cortex A9 on i mx solo lite vs Cortex A7 on MT8110? Isn't mupdf optimized for multiple cores in koreader?

Unless you're doing something seriously wrong, the device is *considerably* faster than ones on i.MX SoCs, regardless of KOReader or not.

(e.g., there are numerous KUAL issues where stuff times out for no good reason after exiting it, so, try on a first launch after a cold boot).

What might have caused this slowness? My old kindle consistently outperforms PW5 in generating page previews, and page turns especially in big pdf.

PDFs being a terrible benchmark, and you comparing apples to oranges. The PW5 has a *considerably* higher pixel density, so it has (insert maths here) more work to actually do

EDIT: And trying to bench the page browser is an even more glaring exercise in futility.

As for your actual original query, as best as I can figure out, it's a custom design based on the custom design lab126 already had from MediaTek used in their lineup of IoT/Alexa things (and quite possibly the Fires).

It seems to be pretty close to the MT8113t that's now available to other OEMs (e.g., NTX), so the origin might be fairly insignificant in the end (except for the lead time they had to get it to market).
