Backing up database

I don't use Calibre and would like to do a backup of the database file. Can I simply copy KoboReader.sqlite (and restore it if necessary) ?

My Libra2 was acting weird and it reminded me that I'd been intending to inquire about this. Tried to highlight a paragraph & it somehow highlighted everything from there to the end of the chapter -many pages away- then froze when I tried to tap it to remove it. I didn't think it was even possible to highlight across many pages like that! Had to reboot then clear it from the annotations list (where it displayed as a blank entry).

That highlighting behaviour is caused by bad formatting in the book. I've had it happen in one of my books, too.

You can indeed back up the sqlite file and restore it later. You'll want NickelMenu installed so you can reboot the device immediately after replacing the database file and ejecting, to ensure you don't get any weirdness with the restored backup not matching whatever database state your Libra has in memory at the time you do the swap.

Or just reboot after copying back an earlier database.

It's actually easier to use calibre and Kobo Utilities to backup your database and config file.

Thanks. I already had the reboot option on my Nickle Menu.
