Chance Author sorting order view
Both values are correct, author FN LN and author
sort LN, FN.

The current view in Caliber's default view is still FN LN even though it arranges them LN, FN. How do I fix this without breaking the database?

You can set the Calibre tweak author_sort_copy_method = 'copy' in your library, it's illustrated in this post:

@GiZM0 - could you put author-sort into the book list, and post a screen shot, you'll have to do it via a virtual column, viz:

You could add a column called Authors (see the attached image for the settings) in calibre's Preferences => Add your own column and then hide the Author(s) column and view the #Authors column.

The Quality Check plugin lets you change the author list to Ln, Fn very easily. And back again, should you wish it.

As I wrote, you can use the Quality Check plugin for Ln, Fn. No need for a separate custom column. The authors in the tag browser (left) will change as well.
