Could not email the following as no suitable formats were found

I can test "Sharing books by email" and I get "Email successfully sent." Yet, when I try sending an EPUB book, I get the error, "Could not email the following books as no suitable formats were found."
This has been going on for about a week (of several years sending books without fail), and don't realize what has changed (I have checked my firewall, turned off AV but see nothing that would preclude the sending of a book--I also added "Calibre Outbound Allowed").
Any ideas here?

In calibre, open Preferences=>Sharing books by email, is ePub on the list of formats for the email address you are sending to? After one update, for some reason, the format list was set to blank.

Yes EPUB, and MOBI (from the past).

Running "Check library" showed no formats, but gives options to delete/fix the following:
Invalid titles
Extra titles
Invalid authors
Extra authors
Missing book formats
Extra book formats
Unknown files in books
Missing cover files
Cover files not in database
Folders raising exception,
which only 3 or 4 were deletable, no fixable buttons were operable.
Most of the books in my library were converted to MOBI until recently; now, of course, they are being converted to EPUB as the are added or I wish to send them to Kindle.

Running "Test," we get the following, showing that mail has the capability of sending:
Dear Customer,

Your message to g**_******@kindle.com, sent at 12:05 PM on Sat, Sep 09, 2023 GMT did not include any attached documents or image files.

If there are no formats it means the actual book files are missing from your library.

I can look into the library itself and see the mobis, epubs, covers and the metadata.opfs. Looking at the "Use/Create/Move library" Calibre is pointing to the location where I can see the above mentioned formats. I've also tried reinstalling the program, and moving the library to a new location─still no joy.

A simple test.
Create an entry (duplicate in all other respects) with your own email as a target.
Now send yourself that book. What did you get?

Since it's not finding formats, it's not leaving Calibre, it' not sending.

I tried this, and Calibre sent a book to my address. So, what does this mean? Sending to either of my Kindle addresses, the program doesn't even attempt to send, I get the error "Could not email the following as no suitable formats were found" before there's any send action.

If you open the folder in which one of the books that shows as not having a suitable formats is shown, do you see the ePub format ebook? Does the Book Details pane view for that book show an ePub format? When you ran the Check Library, did you continue to fix errors?

It does sound as if your library/database have been corrupted. There have been several recent threads dealing with fixing a corrupted library/database.

Yes, it shows an epub format, the same book that sent flawlessly to my email address, it just won't send to either of my Kindle addresses.

That implies the entries for Kindle.com have become corrupt. Just REMOVE them. DO NOT try and fix them as we have no clue where the error is.

Just change the address for the good (working, test) entry and see if that works,

Yes, that was the issue, Thank You, and all of you that helped.

One other thing in this vein, the books are sending now, but of the few I've tested, most of them are without their covers. Any ideas here?
