Is there a way to edit the Comments (ie. book summary) automatically during download?

I usually opt for Amazon metadata over that from other sites. Often I end up with a huge amount in the Comments (ie. book summary) field. Usually, stuff from reviews and about author that I really don't want.

I notice that those sections often start with ###. Example, there may be an "### Review" heading and a "### From the Author" heading.

Is there anyway, while downloading the metadata, to ignore/delete everything beginning with ### Review? In all the ones I've seen, I don't mind losing everything after "### Review".

Is there an expression of some sort that can be used in the plugboards to truncate the field and delete everything from "### Review" to the end?

no you cant modify comments during download but you can use the search and replace function to modify comments in bulk (for all selected books).

thanks. so with the search and replace, is it possible to search for: ### Review and from that point select everything in the comments after it and delete (replace with nothing)?

I did go to help, etc. and all the explanation still might as well be Greek to me. But, after searching here too, I was able to piece together an expression that seems to be working.

I search for: (?s)(<br>### Review<br>(.*?)<\/div>)

and replace with: </div>

That, on my limited test set of 5 books, seems to remove everything from ### Review to the end, but leaves the actual book description, which is what I want. So I'll continue trying and watching.
