Syncing all the highlights to cloud or any external device?
In Moon Reader Pro, on Android, all my highlights get synced to the Google drive. Whenever I bought a new phone and installed Moon reader pro on it, all the highlights got synced with the books on my phone. I kept the same folder structure.
How can I bulk sync and export all the highlights of my the books on my Kindle device? Currently it only supports exporting highlights one by one. Moreover, the highlights on Kindle cloud only get synced of the books that I purchased on Amazon. It doesn't show the highlights of the books I transferred via usb or send-to-kindle browser service. |

If syncing highlights for non-amazon books is important, the amazon walled weedpatch is not a good place to be.

Okay. Any workarounds for this? I've already bought Kindle and now have made a complete switch to it. Been using Moon Reader pro for more than four years. Now I intend to do all my book reading on Kindle, including highlights and exporting notes.

As to exporting notes, just copy and paste the clippings.txt file from your Kindle to your computer. Last edited by Sirtel; 08-11-2023 at 02:03 PM. |

In future if my current Kindle totally breaks down or I lose it in some unavoidable circumstances and I have to buy a new Kindle, I'll have to do the syncing of highlights all over again.

And highlights can't be synced from the books sent to your Amazon cloud via Send to Kindle? (I've never highlighted anything myself, so have no idea). If not, then there's probably no way to do it other than purchase your books from Amazon.

No. The highlights of the books can't be synced of the books transferred through send to kindle service available through the Amazon website.

I do it all the time and it works fine for me. Reading position and annotations sync between multiple Kindle devices and Kindle apps if I use send-to-kindle.

Personal documents sync annotations and reading position (well, not PDFs). And you can export them with Kindle app for iOS or Android.
Scribe is a special case at present: you can export personal documents in their entirety from Scribe (to PDF) and export notes, highlights and scribbles (also to PDF). And (for reflow able) documents, you can also use the Kindle apps to export text notes and highlights (but without scribbles), to one of the formats they provide. Sorry. I was wrong. I restarted the Kindle app again on my phone and I can see all the highlights.
Never heard of scribe. I'll have to study more on it. |
