Collections information has disappeared on device
For a long time, my Libra 2 was happily transferring Collections information (in a custom column in Calibre) to my Libra 2. For some reason, all of the Collections information has disappeared on the device for side-loaded books - it's only there for purchased books. I haven't changed any of the settings (or, rather, I hadn't when this happened), so it's a bit of a head-scratcher.
I should maybe mention that I have a second Libra 2 (long story), and I'm transferring fiction onto that one, so that the original one will just be nonfiction (I haven't deleted anything yet from the original, nonfiction device - only uploaded a portion of the fiction to the second device. It's a work in progress). I don't know whether this might have caused the issue - I can't think why it would, since, as far as I know, all of the settings are in Calibre, which is "in charge", and apply the same to the two devices. The only difference between them from Calibre's point of view, presumably(?), is that the books on the two devices are different. I have referred back here https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/Kob...nd_Collections, but the only thing I notice where my settings are maybe not in line with the instructions is that I have no "#myshelves" category - my custom column is simply called "Collections". Perhaps there's a problem with that? But it's been that way for many months, and was working fine. If anyone could give me any pointers, I'd be very grateful. |

Please disregard this! I worked out that I hadn't added "#" before "Collections" in the KTE settings.
Maybe that will be helpful to someone - but I was actually intending to delete the original post, but couldn't see how to do that. |

You can't actually delete your post unless a moderator gets involves. You should be able to edit the post but just leaving your question and the answer makes the thread useful to the next person with a similar question.

You can report your own post (the '!' button next to Karma) and ask a moderator to delete it.
I suggest leaving it though, it'll be helpful for future people with the same issue. ![]() |
