				Where is the "explorer" described?

Hello, No sure this is the right place to ask that (sorry). Simple question: Where is the Calibre explorer described? Not sure about its name: I'm referring to the left part of the Calibre screen "Authors, Languages, Series, etc.". What I mean is: where can I list the content of the different "levels" of this "tree"? Where is the tree described? In metadata.db? metadata_db_prefs_backup.json? Thank you, Emphyrio |

It is called the "Tag browser". It is built programatically as required using information in metadata.db and various user preference settings. There is no static (stored) version. What are you trying to do? |

Added: and it can be configured via the Preferences->Look & feel->Tag browser panel. BR Last edited by BetterRed; 07-22-2023 at 06:11 PM. | |

Hello again, Sorry to come back, but I didn't click on the link before answering that it was "what I was looking for". Actually, it's not, as it is a user explanation on how it works. What I am looking for it how is it programmatically constructed. What files, fields are involved, etc.. Is there such an explanation somewhere? Thank you for your help. Emphyrio |
