Question Can't see all books
Is there a catch to getting Calibre to recognize all my books ?

Lets say out of 400 books, (90% are EPUB) but when I add to Calibre, I can only see 100 of them.

My current file layout is as such:

D:Books/Fiction/(Author or Title Folder)
D:Books/NonFiction/(Author or Title Folder)
D:Books/Comics/(Author or Title Folder)
etc

eg: D:Books\Fiction\Andy Weir\The Martian.epub
D:\Books\Fiction\DragonlanceBooks\ (lots of books)

Library folder is
D:Library

Is my layout causing the problem or something else.... ?

Any info/ideas appreciated

Calibre only recognizes books that you've added via its GUI (Add Books button on the toolbar). Nothing should be added or removed via the file explorer, as those books won't get added to the database and Calibre won't recognize them.

Sorry, I meant that I have used the GUI (Add Books From Folder and Subfolders), and its after that I can only see some books, not all within those folders - its like Calibre isnt recognizing the folders/files.

When you got the prompt "Assume all e-book files in a single folder are multiple formats of the same book", did you click Yes?

did you point Calibre Add books to D:\books?
Calibre does not drop below that when looking
