Question How can I *really* delete an ebook?
A new feature has been added to Calibre some versions ago. Now deleted ebooks are not really erased from the hard disk, they are just stored elsewhere so that they can be restored.

How can I disable this "feature"?

You cannot disable this feature. But in the next release of calibre. there will be an option to delete the deleted eBooks when you close calibre.

I find it a useful feature. If I was to unknowingly accidentally delete an eBook, I would have 2-weeks to be able to restore it.
