Nice 3rd-party case for Elipsa 2E
(Note to admins: there's no "Elipsa 2E" choice in the dropdown prefix menu.)
I took the plunge and bought a Kobo Elipsa 2E, and love it. But there was no way I was shelling out Cdn$90 for the official cover. I found this third-party one on Amazon.ca for Cdn$17 (after applying the proffered $1 coupon), and it's really nice. The trench at the side holds the stylus (and there's a little cutout at the bottom middle of the trench that makes it easy to use a finger to pop the stylus out). The sleepcover on/off function works flawlessly. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0BH8H514K |

Curious that neither the screenshots nor the description mention the stylus trench.

The beauty of the official Kobo case is its slim minimalistic profile, covering only the display and not adding bulk and weight with an enclosed case on the back.

I don't like the heavy, clunky and too easily detached cover that came included with my original Elipsa. As it lives in only two rooms and never goes out I maybe just need a pen holder on it, though the power button seems oddly awkward.

The official cover for the 2E is what should have been available for the original Elipsa. 2E with cover is amazingly thin and lightweight compared to the Elipsa. Overall, it's a considerable improvement.

By chance did you try installing KOReader on it? I tried without success.
The case you got looks like a great case, but I think I'm going to go for a sleeve instead. |

I haven't tried installing KOReader; I prefer the Kobo software.
