Hello. I am new to the forum. I apologize that my English is not good. I am using the Kobo Forma device. I have several epub files with both Arabic and Turkish characters. but no matter what I did, I could not display them properly on the device. frankly, I am stuck. can you help me with this? i leave a sample epub file below. thanks.

What you need to do is install a font that supports Arabic and Turkish. Then select that font as the font to read this book with.
You copy the font family to the fonts directory in the root of your Kobo. If the directory doesn't exist, create it. |

You should find appropriate fonts here... https://fonts.google.com/

If your device is updated and you turn the wifi on, it should automatically download Arabic fonts when you open that book. This was added in the latest version:
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...66&postcount=2 I'm not sure about Turkish support but it is very easy to add fonts. |

I tried your document (exported as epub) on my Kobo Clara HD. The formatting is causing problems.
On Kobo native reader it crashed a lot, specially while changing fonts so it was unusable. On Koreader it worked better, the bilingual text appeared correct. Only the first page has been recognized though and I could not change font size. Arabic support was never ideal for me on the native kobo reader, so I prefer Koreader for that. Follow this guide here to get Koreader installed with only few steps: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=314220 |
