[Change dates ?]
Hello,
I've got a questions about date. From Calibre, I've got [Date] fields (it means date of add into the library). From Kobo point of view, [Date] seems to mean "date of last update" (for exemple, I copy the book the 1st march, I modify the 30th of march something into the Calibre database then I copy the book into the Kobo, so, if I go into My Books / Sorted by Date, this book appears on top. Is this possible to change the Kobo [Date] field and replace it by the Calibre [Date] ? Thank you Vincent |

I suspect that you are seeing the date the book was copied to your Kobo, i.e. the file timestamp on the Kobo device.
You could use the Kobo Utilities plugin's Update metadata in Device Library to set the date to *File timestamp, Kobo Last Read or calibre's Date, Modified or Published. I've never bothered to play with this feature so not certain how much use it will be to you. |

Calibre has a (normally hidden) column: {last_modified}
This logs ANYTHING that changes the books metadata in Calibre. even a case only change. Add a book, update metadata, edit (calibre editor), add a format (inc. conversions ) |

I have three date columns side by side:
Published (I try to set this to first published on paper). Date. Date added to Calibre Modified (any change at all can change this and if a shared data, lots of ebooks change). I'm thinking I need one "Last Sent to ereader", for each ereader so as to know if the Calibre version is changed, so really I also need a "Last changed in Editor or Converted" column too as some info not relevant to an ebook on an ereader can make the Calibre Last Modified date change. |

Hello,
I changed the Date to [Date], so, my library on Kobo reader has now the date of Calibre integration. That's what I was expected ! Thx Vincent |
