K2 Stuck Configuring Demo

I recently started the jailbreaking process for my Kindle Basic (Model WP63GW), but am stuck entering demo mode. After skipping connecting to the internet and entering dummy store information, I am brought to a screen titled "Configuring Demo". The device remains on this screen until it powers off either on its own or when I tap the power button, at which point it returns to the demo wifi configuration screen. I have tried with and without connecting to wifi as well as holding the power button for a full minute, but am out of ideas besides attempting to reset it by connecting it to my PC. I haven't been able to find anyone with a similar issue online, but I apologize if this thread is redundant. Is anyone aware of a fix or bypass?

Did you perform the "secret gesture" (two-fingers tap on the bottom right of the screen, then single finger swipe from right to left) to show the Home screen?

I have tried it, but it doesn't seem to work likely because I don't have access to the normal screen for it. Try this, create the file DO_FACTORY_RESTORE (no file extension, no content) on the root directory of your Kindle. Reboot (press and hold the power button until the Power menu appear, then tap Restart.)

Also, check and make sure you are currently running FW 5.16.2.1.1 or LOWER. Then do the jailbreak again.

I've tried to get it connected to my computer, but it appears as a USB drive without any media inserted. I'm going to pick up a different cable today in the hopes that will work better, but is it possible that the USB connection isn't working because the Kindle can't enter the proper mode?

I'm running 5.6.0.1 if I recall, so the jailbreak itself shouldn't be an issue.

In demo mode, by default USB Mass Storage mode is disabled.
If I remember correctly, once you reach Search bar in main menu, you need to enter command ;uzb then hit enter.

Unfortunately I am unable to access the main menu or search bar since it never makes it past the configuring demo screen. Is there any way to get to the main menu from one of these screens: http://drive.google.com/drive/folder...yuweXcirEp-Q_0 ?

If I got it right, you have a basic kindle from 2016 (KT3). See if this post is helpful to you:

I have no idea why LanguageBreak failed for you. Maybe, some of the files in the .demo folder are missing or didn't copy well (connection got terminated before files copied in full, or something)

Also, does swipe from the top side of the screen work?

If it does, you should see top menu where you select Wi-Fi etc
