The language field pulls from the ISO 639-2 list, which has a lot of unexpected selections.

While I suppose there's probably a few books written in Klingon or Blissymbols if you look hard enough somewhere, I'm curious as to how someone would write a book in sign language:

I've seen Walter Isaacson's book on Steve Jobs as a DVD translated into ASL. One teacher I know showed her class Bruce Simpson's Paislee and the Talking Tree which is on Youtube.

Videobooks have around been for over a century. They're called 'movies', 'films'….

We used to watch them in cinemas with hundreds of 'strangers'. Today the BBC make a fortune flogging their 'adaptations' of Dickens, Hardy, Austen etc that people have to watch from their couches at home… often alone.
