KOBO App for iOS

Anyone having issues? I can not read on any of my iOS devices. I get a red block with an error or strange coding or blank pages. I repaired my account, uninstalled and reinstalled it with no luck. its like this on all 4 of my ipads

It’s really unnerving. few books I can open but my most recent purchases and a few older books are not readable. Some have all question marks instead of text and some all blank or a red error box. I tried factory resetting my one iPad and made no difference. I repaired my account and tried everything. Kobo said there are known issues but does not explain why some books are viewable and some are not

I only tried opening one book, a library book. So I suppose it could be happening and I just picked the one book that worked. I may try again later. I so rarely read on my phone or tablet that the Kobo app is just installed so I can test epubs in.

Are these sideloaded books that you're having issues with, or ones downloaded from the Kobo store?

Having the same issue, only noticed on my iphone 14pro max so I don't remember if my older iphone would have had the same issue. Some give that strange red box error, some just ask to be redownloaded, but that never changes the problem. I tried several kobo store books on my phone and it seems 60% wouldn't open. Glad I don't use my phone much for reading.

Can you go to “More>Help>Repair your account” and tell us if that improves things? The next thing you could try is to log out of your Kobo account, then log in again. Let us know what happens. Good luck!
