Japanese books, where to write the English title?

My Calibre library is mostly made up of English books, however I have a number of Japanese books that I don't always remember the titles of in Japanese, but I know the titles in English...

I would like to be able to search for such books within my library using either Japanese or English; that is in Japanese if I remember the Japanese name, or in English if I don't...

Currently I'm using Japanese for the "Title:". I'm guessing I should add the English title in the "Comments" section.

I would appreciate recommendations for this situation.

Thank you in advance.

Create a custom TEXT column for the alternate title

preferences:Searching:grouped searches (a tab) might help.
xovertitle <a custom user category (sample name) will be what you search
(comprised of) Value: title,alttitle

Another option would be just "Original Japanese Title (English Translation)".

Thank you theducks!

I somehow managed to do it! Here is what I did.

In Preferences/Interface/Add your own column, I created a new column titled EJtitle (I decided on something short and simple.).

Then in Preferences/Interfaces/Searching/Grouped searches selected #ejtitle from the Names dropdown menu. In the Value field #ejtitle appeared. To it I added ,title and clicked save. The resulting value was: #ejtitle, title

After doing the above I clicked on a Japanese book in my library and then on the Edit metadata button. I then clicked on the Custom Metadata tab and my EJTitle field was there. I added an English title and then clicked OK.

I did a search for the English title of the book and it appeared!
