Import books with additional files

I have one book (Epub / PDF) in each directory.
To this book belong different files.
They are also stored there.
The file formats are different. MP3 / TAR / JPG / MOV / xls etc.

Although I configured Calibre to take all files to a book, it doesn't work.
It takes the archives ZIP and RAR as well as JPG files. Unfortunately ZIP files are renamed with the import.
I.e. from rubish.zip becomes [booktitel].zip

Is the issue known? Are there already solutions?

Thanks

Greetings

See ==>> Why doesn’t calibre let me store books in my own folder structure?

Also the similarly named sticky thread at the top of this sub-forum.

Basically the folder and file names with a calibre library are not user definable.

If you do searches for "additional files' and "supplementary files" in this sub-forum you should find a number of threads that discuss the issue and offer various approaches.

Regard the actual files in "Calibre Library" as a database. The folder/directory used by Calibre to store should be regarded as a "black box". That's why there is an Export/Save to Disk option.

Pretend the copies that Calibre makes don't exist.
