Question Database Access

Hi,
I have the 6.10 version of Calibre running on an MS Windows Server.
Both the database / library and the client.
It also works as a server, really well.
I have a laptop running Ubuntu 22.10 with Calibre client 6.10.
After initially overcoming the demand to have the database and library in a local user folder on the laptop by creating a mount so the program is satisfied; I always get a message saying the database is corrupt and needs fixing. This I have tried a couple of times but it always fails and kicks me out of the mount.
1. Is it that the database is in use on the Windows Server and therefore rejects any write attempts?
2. Is it that the windows binary 6.10 is internally different from the Linux binary 6.10 and therefore there is an incompatibility.
3. Why does the Linux version want to rebuild the database that is functioning perfectly on the Windows Server?

Thanks and kind regards and a happy Festive season.

More than one instance of calibre on the same database will break the database, even if a NAS isn't involved. A server counts as an instance of calibre, as does every running calibre GUI.
