Help! Crash on launch with my library

Calibre started crashing on launch with my library. (I tried launching with a library at /tmp/empty and Calibre launched successfully.)

calibre-debug says:

Failed to contact running instance of calibre
Failed to connect to Listener at: /var/folders/y1/tlyysgm97jjg21yg4rx4hdt40000gp/T/tamara-calibre-gui.socket with error: QLocalSocket::connectToServer: Invalid name

which I have no idea how to interpret. The only somewhat unusual thing I did beforehand was playing with the calibredb command to list the library contents.

It does not exist.

Look for files whoose names start with calibre-singleinstance in the /Library/Caches folder and delete them.

I found two files in /Library/Caches (calibre-singleinstance-502-GUI.lock and calibre-singleinstance-502-db.lock) and deleted them. But it still crashes on launch, and those files are once again in the cache. calibre-debug -s still reports the same error. If I delete the files then run the debug command before trying to launch calibre the usual way, it still reports the same error, but the lock files do not return until I try to launch calibre as usual.

I've also tried launching calibre with the --ignore-plugins flag, but it still crashes.

That looks like memory corruption somewhere inside PyQt. Can you attach the metadata.db file from this malfunctioning library.

I can reproduce with that, but its going to be difficult to track down I will update here when I find the issue.
