Glo Battery Replace

Hi, I have 2 Kobo Glo. The first has a broken display, the second has the battery finished (0%) and swollen. I have to put the good battery on the kobo with the working display. How do glued batteries come off without damaging them? Thank you.

The way from the tutorial may be good but for disassembling a damaged battery that is no longer good for anything. @pippopd needs to recover a working battery so a gentler method is needed. I suggest using isopropyl alcohol (IPA), which is great for dissolving the double-sided tape adhesive, and only then gently try to detach the battery by moving it from side to side.

Carefully!
As eddie.t.h writes, soften tape with solvent. Even surgical spirit.
Use a very soft, very thin plastic sheet to wiggle under the cell. Don't try and pull it off.

A good way is also to use dental floss and carefully "cut" the battery.

Thin fishing line, put it under battery and cut glue with it, this will solve your problem without glitch.

I've read about using dental floss as the easiest method also, but soaking it in rubbing alcohol first helps to loosen the glue easier.
