Funny search behaviour
When using the search box I get different results using ctrl-f and ctrl-c then ctrl-v
The ctrl-c/ctrl-v results in <p>Poirot held up his hand.</p> The ctrl-f results in <p>Poirot held up his hand\.</p> With the latter an extra \ is added. In longer strings there could multiple additions. Is there some way to stop this happening. Ctrl-f is so much more convenient. Calibre 6.8 - Linux Mint 21. Thanks |

Thanks, will do.
Seems a bit odd if doing a regex search to switch to normal and back to regex just to use ctrl-f. Noted will be aware in future. Thanks |

The ctrl-F is calibre helping you with the REGEX search
. is a wild card \. is a period Copy past does not use the same logic as it does not really know what the purpose of the past is |
