Calibre and MacOS Ventura?

Hi all,

I have a MacBook Pro (2019), a Kobo Libra 2, and make pretty extensive use of Calibre to organise my reading. I'm thinking of upgrading to Ventura, but am no wedded to the idea. Are there any known compatibility issues or cautions with this setup? (Or people running it all perfectly well?)

Many thanks.

Hi, I upgraded to Ventura 13.0 and then to its subversion 13.0.1 and experienced no issues on a MacBook Air M1 running the latest Universal version of Calibre (6.8.0). All plugins I use to connect to and manage my Kobo Aura ONE also appear to work just fine.

I’ve been using Calibre on Ventura since the 1st beta released in June. There was an issue due to changes in how the Ventura file system accesses external resources that caused my device to not appear in Calibre, though mounted by the system. Kovid fixed it immediately in a “nightly” and then included it in the subsequent release. I have not had issues with Calibre related to Ventura since.

Good to know, thank you both. I'm currently on 6.7.1 but can of course upgrade.
