Libra 2 Can't enter sideload

Hello, I've read that you can enter a sideload mode on the Libra 2 with the latest firmware. But on install it still requires to login. I logged in, went to the menu and logged out, but I am still not in sideload mode. How does it work? Factory reset without an account and wifi off requires a login as well

if you run side load mode, you cannot sync from Kobo or use Overdrive.

Thats no issue for me. I neer use sync or overdrive. But I just cannot enter that mode, no matter what I do. I followed the Goodereader guide but it doesnt work (logging out and reset).

I believe you are mistaken.

To Use Overdrive with sideload mode you can use the libraries overdrive website and ADE from a PC.

1. You have to update the firmware to current version after a factory reset.

2. Once the Firwmare is up to date, connect the Kobo to a PC, edit your KOBOeReader/.kobo/Kobo/Kobo eReader.conf file. in the [ApplicationPreferences] section, add a line that says "SideloadedMode=true" (without quotes.) If the PC is Windows, you need to use a text editor that will respect and keep the Unix New Line convention. (Notepad++ is usually the suggested go to for people to install on a Windows PC.)

3. Eject the Kobo, then power off and restart, you will be in Sideload mode.

That's not what I was talking about. You cannot use Overdrive on the Libra 2 in side load mode.

Yes you can, see my post.

You're talking past each other. You can't check out library books directly on the Libra anymore, but you can still check out library books using ADE when you're in sideload mode.
