Location of Viewer Settings
Hi,

I messed up my viewer settings, now I want to restore them with my backup.

Is there any special location where the viewer settings are stored?

Can you point me to the special file? I do not want to restore all preferences, just the reader configuration (page layout and stuff).

There is a restore defaults button in page layout (and in most of the viewer preferences sections).

anything with the word viewer in its name is a viewer settings file.

Hi!

Just the other day, I needed to export my main Calibre Viewer settings to a portable install. Then I found that transferring the file viewer-webengine.json from %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\calibre to Calibre Portable\Calibre Settings was sufficient.

Annotations are stored in the viewer config subfolder, if you need to restore that as well.

(this, assuming you're on Windows)
