Visual impairment

I am an older user, I have been a user for many years, and have been recently diagnosed with macular degeneration. I am now unable to easily find the slider in scroll bars in Calibre. I know it is a Qt issue. I have tried to find a way to be able increase the contrast or change the colour of the slider. No luck. Does anyone have a way to do this?

I tried to find a Qt forum, but was not successful.

Try changing to the "System" style at Preferences / Look & feel / Main interface / User interface style. This setting uses more of the underlying color and contrast settings, which may work better for you. For me on windows 10 the scroll bar in the "System style" has a higher contrast than "Calibre style".

In Windows Dark mode I get visible scroll bars with settings shown:

But it's too far the other way - looks like something from 30 years ago.

Thank you, thank you, Chaley. I am on a MiniMac and I changed to from Calibre Style to System Style as you suggested. Terrific. And, great, quick response. Thank you.

You can also increase the UI font and menu icon size as needed in Look & Feel.

Thanks for that. This disease only affects my low-light and low-contrast vision and that change fixed it all. Great community.
