Cursive font

There are some fonts I like to use to read that don't have a cursive style. KOReader seems to be slanting the text a bit but it is very subtle to distinct regular text from the cursive text.

Is it a way to use a different cursive font than the selected one?

Thanks

I assume you meant italic, not cursive (because cursive has another CSS meaning ;p).

IIRC, not without mangling font metadata yourself, no.

Yes, italic

This is what I have been doing so far. User style tweak like that
i,em {font-family: 'Caslon Antique'; }

The solution is to not use these fonts and find fonts that you like that do have normal, bold, italic, and bold italic.

Huh. Goes to show how bad I suck at CSS, then ;o).

Unless someone comes up with a brighter idea, no, that sounds like the least painful way to deal with this .

It might, in some cases.

It will give weird results if a book has CSS like:

Code:
em {
  font-style: normal;
  text-decoration: underline;
}
(you'll see it upright and underlined... but in a different font too.)

or:

Code:
div.poetry {
  font-style: italic;
}
(you will see it in italics... but in your normal font, not in Caslon Antique.)

Ignore Poor Richard and don't use it. It only has a normal variation. It's useless for eBooks. Find fonts to use that have all four font styles.
