Image quality on conversion to Epub

When I use Calibre to convert from .odt to .epub some of the png images (originally developed from .svg in Inkscape) are unclear, particularly the text. Within the .odt, I had compressed the png from a Res of 300 to 150 at which it was still very clear.

I'm new to Calibre; how do I prevent the deterioration in quality?

Choose an output profile under page layout that does not resize images, such as tablet.

Also do an extra Save As in docx and import that to calibre as well as using Tablet for page/image. The conversion to epub from docx is better than odt. BUT don't open or edit the docx for Calibre in OO or LO Writer, only edit odt format. If you import a docx to LO Writer (or older systems) you need to check all paragraph, character, page and graphic styles as well as all links, anchors and headings. The Writer import conversion tries to mimic the paper appearance of a Word document rather than formatting in a more logical fashion.
