Error Reading Book from Content Server

I'm trying to Read a book on my Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus using the Calibre Content Server. The book downloads but then fails with the following error messages:

Could not download book
Could not open Basic Korean. Failed to download some book data, click "Show details" for more information
OEBPS/fonts/PMingLiU.ttf
Failed to communicate with "/book
file/521/EPUB/27985026/16665624670/OEBPS/fonts/PMingLiU.ttf? library_id=Calibre_Library&1666542174914", timed out after: 60 seconds
OEBPS/fonts/AppleGothic.ttf
Failed to communicate with "/book
file/521/EPUB/27985026/16665624670/OEBPS/fonts/AppleGothic.ttf? library_id=Calibre Library&1666542178117", timed out after: 60 seconds

I have no problem reading the book on my desktop PC directly from Calibre and I have not had any problems with any other books using my Amazon Fire and the Content Server.

I've tried this multiple times with the same results.

I'm using Calibre 6.7.

How can I resolve this problem?

Try calibre 6.7.1
I believe there was a bug that Kovid fixed in this release.

However I’m not a guru so you may want to wait for other peoples suggestions……

its timing out loading some font files, most likely because something is blocking the download of those font files. Does the book work if you open it in a browser running on the same computer as calibre.

Yes, the book works just fine on a browser running on the same computer as calibre.

definitely networking issues in that case. Since its jsut one book you can work around it by converting to epub and removing the embedded fonts using the edit book tool in calibre. Just click edit book then select the font files in the left panel and delete them.

Yes, I can confirm that it's a networking issue. When I'm sitting right next to my router, I'm able to download the book and the fonts with no issues. When I'm in another room next to one of my Linksys Velop Mesh nodes, the network speed is much slower and the download fails.

The book already is an epub but I will try your workaround of deleting the fonts.
