Hello and help!

Hi Folks, happy to join.
I'm having a hell of a time converting a Kindle e-book to Word using Calibre.
Have tried following directions found while googling and things just aren't working. I think I need some hand-holding.
My wife and I have a couple low sodium cookbooks that would be way easier to manipulate were it in Word.

I'm no novice or slouch with software but for whatever reason, this project had me stumped!

Help!

First, did you install the noDRM plugin from here?

Second, I suggest you read this post

Third, if the book is in a fixed-layout format, converting to Word is probably not going to work (the result will be a mess).
