Forma Charging Issue (non-OEM cord)?
Forma less than 12 months old. Charges to 100%. I sleep it, then pick it up 4-5 hours later to read in bed and it’s at 1%.
I’m using a non-OEM cord (looming for mine now it’s somewhere I’m sure). Could that be the issue? Are some non-brand cords bad for charging? |

Try it with wifi completely off, automatic sync disabled, and either no sleep cover or automatic sleep disabled.

Wifi is always off and I don’t use a sleep cover or auto sleep. I did try another cord yesterday (not OEM) but not dollar store (lol) and it seemed to hold the charge this time. I wouldn’t think a cord would matter but…

You didn't mention whether you had auto-sync disabled? |

When you picked it back up to read,, did it have to Boot? (3 dots loading screen.).
My first assumption would be that you had a stuck process that drained your battery until shut down, and the inadvertent reboot already fixed it. |

Auto sync is disabled yes. And I didn’t change any settings between different chargers. And yes the cheaper charger did charge to 100 and drained right away. I’m guessing it wasn’t actually getting a real charge. Just the battery status was changing. Weird.

So far with the better cord it’s still holding charge. Read for 2 nights now and it’s at 96%. |
