understanding micro-justification in KOReader

Good day.

A recent post on another forum claims and asks for confirmation that KOReader does micro-justification. I was wondering if those of you involved in its development could offer some clarification on this. Also, if this feature is still not available, would it be worth implementing it? Thank you for your attention.

Not sure what "micro-justification" is.

On justified text you can have large chunks of white space between words. This becomes easier to find if you increase font size.

KO offers a way to tweak both "between words" space and "between characters within a word" space, so the text looks better without all those empty space nonsense. I think you're talking about that.

The later is called "word expansion" and the former "word space" and both are available on the bottom menu, in the fonts section, just below "font size".

It's not exactly LaTeX-level of typesetting, but it was discussed during the implementation and testing (check the PR that implemented the options mentioned above for all the gory details).

Thank you for your replies.

I imagine there is no harm in showing the link to the original post in the Kobo Reader forum.
