Recently I wanted to check what was the largest book in my Calibre library. (Easiest way to find audible books or picture books (Comics, Magazines, etc.)
I have always used the "Size (b)" column (byte) as it shows the exact file size. (ie. 334421 b (same as 334 kb or .3 MB) BUT when I sorted the column, it came out alphabetically, NOT numerically. 110001 110005 111 111220 12 13555 169 1704493 etc. I added back the "Size (MB)" column and it DID sort properly, so was able to find what I was looking for. But why is the "Size (b)" column treated alphabetically when sorted? ![]() I would assume it is a bug? Thanks |

Presumably you didnt specify the column contains numbers when you created it in Preferences->Add your own columns

Probably just left it on default. (text) Switched to (number) and it works perfectly. Thanks. |
