Selection Handler Icon Position

Dear Kovid,

The selection handlers are now above the selection area. This makes it rather inconvenient when using a touchscreen device as the finger would cover the target texts. It it's an issue when using a mouse as the cursor is small.

I'd like to request for the option to turn the handler icons upside down so that the texts would be visible for selection by a finger. 👆

I dont follow, selection handlers being down would mean your finger would cover text when dragging forwards, since forwards is down. THem being up means they cover text when dragging backwards. Dragging forwards is the more important use case.

Dear Kovid,

With the selection handler being upward as it is now, the finger is already covering both the selected and the texts beneath.

With the selection handler being downward (as it is the case in default android selection), it is more convenient to adjust the selected area.
