Why No MAME Emulator for PPC?

I'm not a gaming expert, but isn't MAME the "generic" and most popular format for ROMs and game emulation? I know that there seems to be a whole lot of stuff for Windows.

What I don't understand is why, with all the emulators available for PPC, there isn't a MAME emulator? (Or one for Palm?) Is it too sophisticated for PDAs? Is it screen/input problems?

There _are_ MAME emulators out there for the PPC, but I've never used one. A couple of URL's a had lying around in my bookmarks include:

http://www.mameworld.net/mamece3/

I don't know how well these run, or how compatible they are with different games and PDA's, but they might be worth a try, Bob.
