assigning news articles to custom column [kobo]
a long time ago, I came across a post on how to make a custom column into which all news was sorted. I believe it was based on articles' author being listed as "news." the author was mapped to a tag Kobo can recognize as a shelf.

the end result I'm looking for is a way to group all articles on the Kobo into one category when they are sent.

I looked here for that article but can't find it. can anyone assist?

I have a kobo collection setting, #genre.

When adding this new one, do I separate them with a comma or space?

In the driver configuration, the names of the collection columns are separated by commas.

do I need to add the tag 'News' to articles? I've copied your procedure exactly, but nothing appears under a news shelf on the kobo.

Sorry it's so long since I tried this I don't know. It was just an experiment at the time.
