Questions on using KOReader with E-ink

I have a couple of questions on things I'm trying to do, can't find how to do etc

Is there a way to set default font families. For example, if not otherwise specified in a book, use sans-serif.

Second, is there a way to strip all colors? I have a book that uses heavily colored parts and they do NOT show up nicely on e-ink. This is how it looks on Calibre's reader https://i.imgur.com/xAkZX6n.png so rather than me having to edit ebooks if there's a setting to ignore all text and background color changes and only use black and white (or maybe greyscale). Disabling all styles isn't useful because then I lose all other formatting to.

I probably have more questions if I use this more, but those were stopping me at the book I was trying to test with.

EDIT: Please disregard the word "android" in the subject, I had found the answer to my Android specific question and forgot to take it out.

I should add, currently I'm using a style tweak of
Code:
 * { color: #000000 !important; background-color: transparent !important;}
as my way of dealing with the color thing.

1. See https://github.com/koreader/koreader/issues/7426

2. Your style tweak looks good. If it affects undesired elements on some books you might want to create others with more fine grained selectors.

Also, question number two would receive a much more qualified answer on github. So feel free to ask about more css shenannigans there.

Thanks! I loaded the sans-serif font I wanted (Droid Sans (not mono) and set it as the global default). Figures one of the first things I did would end up running into a fringe case XD

And I doubt they'll be any unwanted effects from that CSS on e-ink. On a color screen that'd definitely make things look uglier, worst I'd imagine is for some reason something was inverted colors, I'd miss out on that.
