Does the kobo Libre 2 have the different screen shades like the kindle oasis?
Also. The oasis is like 250 and Libre 2 is like 180. Is this just amazon over charging or is there a reason for price difference?

If by "screen shades" you mean different lighting temperatures, then yes.

The Libra has a better screen and far more customization options. The Oasis is faster and somewhat more stable. Take your pick.
Personally I prefer the Libra. |

Kobo was the first to market with different color shades for comfortable reading; Kindle copied them. Kobo is often the innovator.
Anyway, yes, specifically the Libra 2 has this feature; Kobo calls it "Comfort Light," and here are more details about it: https://help.kobo.com/hc/en-us/artic...r-Kobo-eReader |

The Oasis is made of metal and that's supposed to be more premium. It's also weighs less, though i think the battery is smaller, and it has a flush screen
But it costs more mostly because Amazon can charge more |

If you're in the US, and are considering paying $250 for an Oasis, I'd strongly recommend you consider paying $229 for a Kobo Sage instead. The Sage is a device without a Kindle equivalent yet, an 8-inch reader with note-taking capabilities. Kobo has them on sale at its US store for the next 2 weeks, $229. A case of the old saying "less is more" being very literally true.

I'd try a Kindle, but there are too many software decisions that go against the way I do things (only getting good layout with KFX, Amazon randomly changing covers, etc.). But I do think the current Paperwhite is a very nice reader. |

Removing ads for non-US customers is just a chat away. Many of us here in the Philippines just use chat to request removal of ads.
BUT shipping from US to PH is about 15 dollars so there's that. |

It's worth keeping in mind that the OP was interested in comparing the Oasis and the Libra 2. Unless the $95 PW is the Signature edition, it's not really a comparable device.
