Lost in translation
I'm using Calibre 5.44. For another reason I change Calibre from french to English and from English to french which I haven't done for a relatively long time. When the french translation was perfect before that move now I got a mix language. So I don't know when that total translation was lost.

I add one example here but note that behavior is repeated in all menu.

There are two french IIRC one is french canadian and one is french french or something like that. Make sure you pick the one you want.

Sorry. I see only one "french" in the optional language. But since I didn't find a second option I applied french on the already french selected and got an all french Calibre. So selecting it twice in a row was the way to correct that bizarre problem.

Add. I had tried before french-English-french-English-french !

As Kovid mentioned, there are two French options. After you selected one, it got to top of the list, after you restarted. That's why you only saw one "French" listed alphabetically. Then, choosing it "again", you were actually changing to the second option.

I think it is missing a qualifier to differentiate fr-CA from fr-FR. In my case, I use pt-BR, which appears as Brazilian Portuguese, and not just Portuguese.

Thank you. I just get back to changing language and this time ! I saw 2 french options!!!
