Need help with jailbreak after resetting
Noob here. I had jailbroken my PW4 using this method and it worked. Just yesterday, I managed to screw it up by resetting my kindle. After that, all attempts to jailbreak it again using the method above failed (The last step could not be completed as the option to update the kindle was grayed out). So I don't know what to do. Is it still jailbroken? If so how do restore KUAL? If not why can't I perform the last step?

Did your Kindle update itself after the reset?

As far as I know, the current factory reset doesn't de-jailbreak. You just need to reinstall JB hotfix, and KUAL/hacks again.
But until you reinstall JB hotfix, DO NOT (re)install any firmware update. |
