DOOM on kobo clara hd?

Doom can be ported on a calculator.

I just do not know why would want to play it on a calclator or an ebook reader

Anything's possible. But eink refresh is 1 frame per second, so it wouldn't be very playable.

But off the top of my head, the main challenge would be Kobo's lack of a video layer like X or Xorg. So there'd need to be some porting to get things to render to an eink frame buffer (maybe fbink?). Not trivial, but not impossible either.

Actually, now that I've slept on it, you might have an easier time if you do what NiMa did and replace the firmware with something like Alpine Linux and use that as your base. But I suppose it would mean more if you could get it running on stock firmware instead.
